Description
Shooting and retrieving are both included in the realistic hunting simulation known as Ultimate Duck Hunting. By using the Wii Remote, players can educate their chosen dog—a yellow, chocolate, or black Labrador retriever—to obey their directions. Set up decoys, employ duck calls, and eventually become a crack shot using the Wii Remote to aim and fire at difficult-to-down mallard, hen, black, and teal ducks. Gear up with name-brand firearms, camouflage, and decoys.
According to Jeff Hill, VP at Detn8 Games, “Ultimate Duck Hunting heavily utilizes the Wii Remote.” It is, of course, the ideal tool for aim-and-shoot, and controlling your dog with Wii Remote movements increases the sense of immersion in the simulation.
Four game types are available in Ultimate Duck Hunting: Single Hunt, where you can gain points by shooting a certain amount of ducks, Career Mode, where you can construct your own hunter and dog and hunt across several seasons, and Master Mode. Two modes are available: Multiplayer, where two players face off against one another on a split screen; and Teaching, which is a mini-game for training your dog.
In six different settings, including Stuttgart (Arkansas), Oacoma (South Dakota), Oak Island (Minnesota), Old Harbor (Alaska), Coldwater (Mississippi), and Halifax, players hunt and retrieve ducks (Virginia).
